Fields of Additional Expertise
Having grown up internationally, an interdisciplinary education and for many years worked in disaster management, I bring a holistic view to eco-work. Since many years I have been engaged with interfaith/ interreligious/ intercultural dialogues and exchanges, including focus on environmental justice from faith-inspiration. I really enjoy helping people of faith (or not) reflect on eco-faith teachings.
Most Relevant Training Experience
For many years I have now been facilitating virtual intercultural exchanges, including on environmental justice. With a background in disaster management I have also accumulated significant training in conveying systems viewing and training in complex settings.
Relevant Educational Background
I have 3 master degrees (a law degree from Leiden University [NL], an international politics degree from CERIS [BE]/ Paris XI [FR] and a development management degree from the Open University [UK]), complemented bij various other trainings, such as a postgraduate certificate on online and distance education and one on environmental policy. On eco-literacy I have for example attended a permaculture design course (PDC) and an ecovillage design education (EDE). Most recently I have participated in a nine month Eco-Trainers ToT, with two residentials.
